The Research Support Services of the University of A Coruña (Servicios de Apoyo a la Investigación, SAI–UDC) is a Spanish analytical service centre that provides specialised instrumentation and qualified personnel to support both the university's research groups and external public and private institutions.
The SAI is organised into specialised units offering structural analysis (X-ray, gas adsorption and granulometry), molecular biology (DNA sequencing, PCR, genotyping), inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS), molecular spectroscopy (NMR, mass spectrometry, IR, thermogravimetry), microscopy (scanning, transmission and confocal), chromatographic techniques (GC and HPLC), instrumental elemental analysis (CHNOS), water testing and thermoluminescence dating.
Its accredited testing includes ENAC accreditation for the analysis of dioxins in agri-food products, physico-chemical analysis of continental waters, and BET specific-surface-area determination in microsilica, with published tariffs and request forms available for each unit.
