Abich S.r.l. is an Italian Contract Research Organisation (CRO) based in Verbania that has provided integrated research and analysis services to industry since 2002, working primarily with manufacturers of cosmetics, medical devices and other consumer products.

For medical devices it offers biocompatibility and stability testing, chemical analysis, in-vitro biological, physical and microbiological testing, technical files, risk analysis, regulatory support for market launch, and clinical evaluations and studies. For cosmetics it provides in-vitro safety and efficacy testing, dermatological efficacy and functionality tests on healthy volunteers, chemical and microbiological analysis, Product Information Files (PIF) and regulatory consultancy. For raw materials and ingredients it carries out in-vitro acute-toxicity, carcinogenicity, mutagenesis and ecotoxicity studies, chemical analysis, functionality tests and certificates of analysis.

Abich also tests biocides and PMC products (bactericidal, mycobactericidal, sporicidal, fungicidal, virucidal activity and more) through in-vitro and clinical tests, and actively researches and promotes the validation of in-vitro methods as alternatives to animal testing, in line with current regulations.
