ALGADE - Laboratoire Environnement et Dosimétrie (LED)

Algade (Laboratoire Environnement et Dosimétrie) is a French expert in radiation protection and the measurement of radioactivity in the environment. A subsidiary of the CARSO group, it was created in 1993 and has developed a complete range of services over more than 30 years.

Its activities include radiation-protection expertise and regulatory technical inspections (for medical, dental, veterinary and industrial settings); the design, manufacture, sale, maintenance, verification and calibration of instruments for measuring radon and sampling aerosols; and the analysis of radioactivity in all types of environmental samples (soil, water, filters, sediments, flora and fauna) and effluents, performed by its COFRAC-accredited laboratories (accreditations no. 1-1038 and 1-1039). It also provides dosimetric monitoring of workers exposed to natural radioactivity.

Algade is approved by France's Nuclear Safety Authority (ASN) for regulatory radon measurements and radiation-protection inspections, offers specialised radioprotection training, and markets a range of radon dosimeters and electronic radon detectors (the ÆR product line) for professionals and individuals.
