Vimta Labs Limited is a pioneering full-service Contract Research and Testing Organization (CRO/CTO) headquartered in Hyderabad, India, with operations established in 1984. Analytes routinely tested include pesticide residues, heavy metals (lead, cadmium, arsenic, mercury), allergens, antibiotic residues, banned dyes and colors, mycotoxins, food additives, water-soluble and fat-soluble vitamins, minerals, nutritional composition (macronutrients, calories, fiber, sugar), microbial contaminants, and mineral oil aromatic hydrocarbons (MOAH), mineral oil saturated hydrocarbons (MOSH), and polyolefin oligomeric saturated hydrocarbons (POSH). Additional food-science capabilities include DNA sequencing for food authentication and species identification, HFSS (high fat, salt, and sugar) analysis, shelf-life and food packaging testing, and identification of unknown substances by mass spectrometry. Environmental testing at Vimta covers water (drinking water, wastewater, surface water), soil, sediment, ambient air, stack emissions, and industrial effluents. The environmental division holds NABET accreditation (certificate valid 2023–2026) as well as NABL accreditation, ISO 45001:2018 certification for occupational health and safety management, and recognition from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).
