University of Minnesota Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory

The University of Minnesota VDL empowers animal health professionals with accurate and timely diagnosis through multiple specialized laboratories including bacteriology/mycology, histology, immunohistochemistry, molecular diagnostics, necropsy, parasitology, serology, and virology. The lab also administers the Minnesota Wildlife Avian Influenza Program and maintains an Infectious Agent Repository. They monitor emerging diseases including avian influenza and New World screwworm.
