Kansas State VDL provides diagnostic and consultative services to the veterinary and animal health community in Kansas and nationally. The lab is home to one of the world's highest-volume rabies serology centers, processing over 80,000 samples annually, and offers molecular R&D, next-generation sequencing, virology, serology, clinical pathology, and zoonotic disease detection. Specialized programs include fluorescent antibody virus neutralization (FAVN) and rapid fluorescent focus inhibition tests for rabies.
