ACU Control & Safety is an accredited inspection body in the Netherlands and Belgium that has fully specialised in inspecting and certifying recreational and sports structures: high-ropes courses, zip lines and adventure parks, artificial climbing structures such as climbing walls, towers and boulders, and urban sports facilities including calisthenics parks and outdoor fitness equipment. It is accredited by the Dutch Council for Accreditation (RvA, registration I390) as a type-C inspection body under ISO/IEC 17020, carrying out inspections to international standards such as EN 15567 (ropes courses), EN 12572 (artificial climbing structures) and EN 16630 (permanently installed outdoor fitness equipment), and applying technical guidelines and best practice where no usable standard exists. Beyond inspections it offers design reviews, structural studies and (retro-)engineering, technical advice, and testing & research. ACU Control & Safety serves public- and private-sector clients across the Netherlands and Belgium — including the Police Academy, schools and universities, the judiciary and, on behalf of the Central Government Real Estate Agency, the Defence work-at-height training facilities — and its staff and partners bring more than 30 years of combined expertise, with active participation in European standardisation (CEN/TC136/WG9).
